Beaded in the Maasai tradition by women artisans receiving a fair wage, our collars are strong and sturdy, with each hand-beaded row securely affixed to chocolate brown, hand-dyed leather. Finished with a soft inner panel to preserve the delicate stitching and provide extra comfort for your best Rafiki (that’s Swahili for “friend”), brass hardware completes the beautiful look and long-lasting wear. Made by hand and in-country, each collar will have slight variations adding to its unique style.

    • beautiful beading that wears like iron
    • Soft, durable leather in dark chocolate
    • Rugged brass hardware
    • Hand-beading, soft, leather backing

100% of net proceeds from sales are invested in the artisans and our innovative humanitarian menstrual hygiene program, uhurupads.
