Five years ago, while living in the Philippines, founder Clare felt a deep connection to the communities she met. Clare's dream of creating bags and working with an artisan community to bring them to life was born. And now that dream is a reality! And the best bit? Partnering with these artisans helps to provide them with an income and security.
The women from the T'boli tribe of Lake Sebu, Philippines create the rattan Solihiya weave and the T'nalak that are used in our bags and purses. This type of work not only helps them sustain an income but it also helps keep their indigenous craft alive.
She also partnered with a cooperative called Klowil who introduced her to women of the T'boli tribe and their artisanal weaving. They are proud to work closely with these artisans who help bring these designs to life.
