Come celebrate soHza sister day | April 13th 11am - 8pm

We partner with a cooperative in Santiago, Chile, run by Ana. Ana teaches the women around her how to handcraft beautiful jewelry through metalworking, with high-quality recycled materials. Traditionally, metal-smithing is considered a man's job in Chile, but Ana and her cooperative challenge the status quo every day.

Each piece is made in Ana's home workshop. Scrap metal is sourced from markets, before being melted down and formed into thin sheets. The women in this cooperative cut each shape by hand and create beautiful, unique textures by stamping the metal. They weld pieces together, sand them down, and polish them for the final design. All scraps are then collected and melted down to repeat the process!
